Laser Skin Resurfacing is a facial rejuvenation treatment using a laser to enhance the skin texture or to treat minor facial defects. Should be done with:

Laser Perfect. It is a wounding beam that eliminates the thin outer skin layer (epidermis) and melts the underlying skin (dermis) that stimulates new collagen fibers to develop. The region being handled becomes smoother and stronger as the epidermis recovers and grows back. Types of ablative treatments include laser carbon dioxide (CO2), erbium laser, and system mixture.

Non-specific Laser. It is a non-wounding laser which promotes the production of collagen, which aims to enhance skin tone and texture over time. This method can be based on different types of lasers as well as technologies with an intense pulsed light (IPL). Non-ablative resurfacing by laser is less harmful and demands less recovery period than ablative resurfacing by laser.

Both Techniques can be processed with a fractional laser that keeps untreated tissue microscopic sections throughout the surgical site. Marginal lasers have been established to reduce the time for recovery and reduce the risk of complications. Laser resurfacing can reduce the appearance of fine facial lines.
